Description
This auction is for a nice medal from the centennial celebration of Dauphin County held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1885.It is considered an unlisted So-Called Dollar, and is categorized as HKu-158 in the on-line reference guide here: https://www.socalleddollar.com/adStateCountyCity.html#158; it is listed as being very rare.
In my opinion it is in extra fine condition (although has some dings, etc. as seen), is made of white metal, and is 37.6mm in diameter. I think my starting bid is fair given its rarity. Grading is subjective, so please look at the super-sizable pictures and grade for yourself.
Shipping for USPS First Class Mail in a 6x9 yellow envelope with the medal in a 2x2 secured between two pieces of corrugated cardboard will be an extra
.50
, which I think should be pretty close to my actual cost. I do combine shipping and will do my best to ship multiple items together at a reduced total shipping cost. Please no International bidders as unfortunately I've had some bad experiences shipping internationally. Good Luck, and HAPPY BIDDING!
