CARVER C-1 Preamp Upgrade Kit *BillD* version

pdate your Carver C-1 pre-amp...
The C-1 pre-amp uses polarized capacitors and carbon composition resistors in the audio signal path. It also uses RN4136 op-amps.
Op-amps have been improved upon considerably since the days when the C-1 was designed and built. You will be replacing two of the 4136 Op-amps with the improved OPA2134 Op-amps, hence the BrownDog adapter to help with the Form, Fit, and Function. This entire upgrade consists of three major steps:
1)
Replace electrolytic signal caps with high grade non-polarized audio-rated caps, and replace the remaining electrolytic caps with new ones.
2)
Replace the chosen 5% carbon composition resistors with 1% metal film resistors.
3)
Replace the phono and line-out 4136 op-amps with newer OPA2134A units.
Additionally, there are a few small signal path capacitors and a power LED that are replaced.

1     Instruction sheets with Color PICs
