For Marantz model 7 7c volume control repair.
This volume control potentiometer is the same brand as the original Marantz 7c volume control potentiometer. The same series. Same era, but different values. The original 7c potentiometer is 500K ohm, this is 2M ohm, and it can be replaced with the following minor modifications. This is the closest alternative to 7c volume control currently. The sound is very good, DIY tube preamplif or replica 7c are very suitable.
If used in service Marantz 7c volume control (attach actual circuit.photos):
1.the shaft is cut short.
2.parallel 680K / 0.5W resistance between the pin1.pin3.
