Description
HK-894D, undated (c. 1916) Army Life on the Mexican Border souvenir, one of the First World War related "Good Luck" tokens added to NGC's expanded list of So Called Dollars through the efforts of John Raymond (and to a certain extent myself). VERY SCARCE TO RARE, tough to find in any decent condition, let alone one that will certify. NGC MS-63BN in Copper, tied with two others for the Top Pop. Oddly enough, I happen to own two of those 63's, and decided to keep the ex-Raymond piece and sell this example. Priced along the lines of what I purchased the other MS-63 from John for, so it should be reasonable if you want a near finest known. It is also unlikely that another Unc specimen will turn up any time soon, let alone finer, given the nature of the item as a "pocket piece" souvenir.
