    Mithril Miniatures
    is officially licensed since 1988 to manufacture metal collectible miniatures from Tolkien's books
    The Hobbit
    and
    The Lord of the Rings
    books.
    This miniature was released in
    1993
    and no longer produced. The figure is in one piece. The scale is 32mm (classic).
    Gwaihir
    was the greatest and the swiftest of the Eagles of Middle-earth at the time of the War of the Ring. During the War of the Ring, he noticed Gandalf on the pinnacle of Orthanc while trapped by Saruman and carried him to Edoras. Later he was sent by Galadriel to find Gandalf; he found him on the peak of Celebdil after the Battle of the Peak, and carried him to Lothlórien.
    This will ship in a modern blister pack from Mithril. This was an early casting produced by the tool maker at Mithril Miniatures and kept hidden all these years until this month. The metal is an alloy that contains tin and lead.
    The figure is not primed.
