Antique Armand Marseille 370 16" Doll

Description

This beautiful antique, china doll is marked 370 AM G/OXD and something else I can’t make out
on the back shoulder plate.
It also says “made in Germany.”  She has a leather body, and a beautiful porcelain face with open mouth, teeth, and brown glass eyes. In 1989 when Germany became unified again, fabric warehouses were discovered and bolts of “antique” fabric became a hot commodity. The silk ivory dress, hat,
waistcoat,
plus matching pantaloons, along with the blue silk trim, and lace trim
are made from some of that material. Under the bustle area are a couple snags in the fabric. Tiny pearl buttons accent the front of the bustled waistcoat. At that time I paid $100.00 for the clothing. I was shocked upon listing to see she is missing her left hand… see photo #9. I am including the stand.
